By eliminating the cost to access and directly supporting the production and dissemination of the works of artists from under represented communities, we are directly contributing to positive genuine representation in the media and equity of opportunity in the industry. Ensuring that individuals for marginalized backgrounds have autonomy over the stories that are shared in the media and involvement on production, heightens the integrity of the production, and protects the mental well-being of people all over the globe.

Whether it is Cultural Safety, Current Events or Music Theory; Ensuring artists have all of the information and understanding that they need before proceeding into certain spaces and contracts is a crucial step in supporting their career development. RGE Program offerings include access to industry network and support with connection to industry professionals and applying to career development programming offered by a variety of Canada's most reliable industry players (CMI, FPCC, WIMC, MPC, etc) 

Your generous contributions support the many RGE Initiatives to champion artist safety in the music and ent industry. Be it through workshops, keynotes, panels or roundtables, RGE has offered info sessions that speak directly to navigating industry spaces as a visible minority, as a woman, or as an lgbtq2s+ person. This info is also build directly into our 1 on 1 development programming. We pride ourselves on our ability to create career development strategies that account for the nuance and circumstances of each artist who trusts us to help them build. 

Contributions to RGE support the creation of meaningful work opportunities for artists and the advocacy of artist integrity (appropriation, acknowledgement exclusion and compensation). Promoting artists and industry professionals from underrepresented backgrounds into leadership roles reinforces accountability and ensures that the autonomy of these communities is respected. Involving these professionals in decision making processes that affect their careers or identities immediately reduces instances of cultural appropriation in the media.
